Thanks to the donation of 3 laptops by Rio Tinto, the Poveda Foundation has now been able to offer a program in computers to the children of its centres.
The first batch of the program commenced today at the Chinchwadgaon center with 4 student volunteers from the Delhi Public School- Manaswita, Shubhi, Yashraj and Basil offering 3 hours of their time every Saturday, for the next two months.
The student volunteers through their style of teaching created in the children an eagerness, excitement and confidence to learn, to try, to experiment and make mistakes. The kids responded well to the simple, clear and encouraging instructions of the volunteers. Join us at any of our classes and you will see that none of this is an overstatement.
