For the first time since its inception, we have had the Flag Hoisting at the nursery on Independence Day. Activities of art and craft through the week prepared the kids for the same.
The Lions Club joined hands with us to organize this event. Thus at 8 am on 15th August, the tricolour was hoisted outside Poveda Kids.
The nursery children sing the National Anthem at the end of class each day and hence it was but natural for them to take a lead in singing it on the 15th morning. They finished the anthem with echoing calls of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. They also sang Hum honge kamiyab melodiously.
Our centre girls from Chinchwad gaon made the morning special by putting together a beautiful rangoli around the flag post.
The members of the Lion’s club present offered some stationery for the kids.
