LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Nurturing Tomorrow’s Leaders
Each year we see some kids with exceptional potential pass through our kindergarten and computer projects. At the start of 2024, Poveda convened Changemakers, a group of such students, keen to grow themselves and to make a difference in society. Since its inception, the leaders have had several opportunities to dive deep into their own realities and to study different challenges of the world. The group meets every Sunday afternoon and actively engages in a variety of service projects.
GRAMMAR WORKSHOPS
Mastering the Language
Poveda has been invited by schools often to lead language workshops with students from grades 8 to 10 with special emphasis on grammar and writing skills. There is a dearth of good language teachers and Poveda is happy to oblige.
SEXUAL AWARENESS
Breaking the Silence
Adolescence, puberty, relationships among teenagers, these continue to remain taboo topics or topics adults find difficult to engage in dialogue with students. Poveda has been leveraged as a resource to lead such meaningful encounters with boys and girls in a safe atmosphere, open to questions and more questions.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Funding the Future
We recognise that just the earnest desire to study is not always enough to get oneself through school and college. The ability to pay the school tuition fee is just as important. Poveda offers, thought not often, scholarships to students who are in dire need.
