English as a Living Language
Moving beyond textbooks to build real-world communication and active engagement
During the pandemic, Poveda was invited to offer classes in English to children from an orphanage and various villages. Since June 2022, the organization works with Zilla Parishad and private Schools bringing English to them as a language and not a subject. For grades 1 to 8, Poveda has developed a 3 year curriculum whose focus is on comprehension, response and active engagement in any conversation. For grades 8 to 10, Poveda works closely with students on grammar objectives aligned to the state board exams.
