Poveda welcomes volunteers on weekdays both in the kindergarten project and the spoken English classes project with rural schools.
In the kindergarten you can:
- Teach one of the three learning groups
- Engage in art and craft activities with them
- Engage in song/ dance/ drama with the children
- Assist the teacher in the preparation of teaching aids and PowerPoint presentations
Volunteer for the project in rural schools:
- Must be fluent in English
- Is willing to teach all the children in the class assigned and believes that every single child can learn
- Believes that learning is fun
- Is willing to commit an entire day (7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) once every week
- Will be offered transport and breakfast and snacks on the assigned day
- Will be offered a volunteer certificate upon completion of an academic year.
