Ensuring every child secures a seat in formal English medium schooling
Since 2010, Poveda runs an English kindergarten with a keen desire to set kids on the right trajectory at the very start of their education path and help them leverage the RTE to get admissions in English medium schools. Poveda has developed a 3-level syllabus – playschool, junior and senior kindergarten.
At the start of and during the program, a greater awareness that our learners come from families where no one speaks English, and that this reality exists even as they move into formal school, guides both the curriculum and methodology. Children moving out of senior kindergarten are already taught many concepts from grade 1 in formal school.
Over the years, every single child of ours has got admission in an English medium school.
